Day 010/365: There are many reasons to live California.

Let’s face it. Some places really are worth exploring and having a 4×4 at your disposal to get there is an absolute pleasure. Today we went on a photo hunt for @partyallmyown’s Photoshop class. So I thought I’d take her some place no one in her class would ever go to shoot a photo. One, because the path to take is a serious pain in the ass. Two, because usually no one is up there. Number one was true today, number two not so much. Wasn’t expecting to see anyone up here working on a tower but what ever. I got to check some of our equipment and take some awesome photos up here. Also, it’s funny how scared people get when they are in the passenger seat being dragged up a super bumpy ass road on the side of a mountain.

In with the new I guess. The price for headphones are completely stupid. Seriously. These Razer Kraken Pro headphones will have to do. Most of the I like a good quality sound and these did the trick but aren’t exactly pack-able in size. The Marshall headphones I had were a good pair for the year I had them. However using them everyday for a year basically had them go to complete crap. Sound remained great but plastic is plastic. Hopefully these new headphones last just as long.

Unpacking is a bitch LoL Ok it’s not that bad I just don’t feel like doing it.

I don’t mind going down there but sometimes during the year it’s just such a pain. Anyways, good to be home and interesting to have been so close to the border.

Busy day as usual here in Yuma as it is every time we come down here. The biggest disappointment is that there is going to be a huge classic car show going on down here on Saturday. Well we are leaving in the morning to go back to Victorville. Beautiful cars like these three are all over the place. When we came back from our all nighter we found a Nova, 32 Ford, and sweet tweety bird yellow Ford Thunderbird. I was way to tired to take photos of those considering it was really dark and I didn’t have the proper lighting to do the cars justice.

Let’s face it. Sometimes you just gotta get shit done when it’s time to get shit done. Tonight was one of those. Took down a few stations and rewired how they get out to our radio towers. Most of the time I spent it trying to figure out where one end of a wire went on the other side of the building. Lesson here folks, if you didn’t label the work you did and I have to come in 10, 20, 30 years later to rewire your connections and you didn’t label anything? I fucking hate you. LOL

So I’m out in Yuma again to finish our phone installation project. A few other things as well need to happen. Took a picture of this awesome huge room I managed to get at a Holiday Inn Express & Suites. It isn’t what I ordered but it’s what they gave us. SWEET!

Packing the bag for the trip back to Yuma to finish a long awaited installation. It’ll be warmer but damn it’s just such a long ass drive. Oh wells.

So here is photo #1 of my 2014 attempt at doing a POTD. We’ll see how long this goes for.
Today’s photo sums up the gloomy feeling of how it is outside. I love the rain just like any other Hawaii person does but here I’d rather enjoy it indoors. This is mostly due to the fact that IT IS FREEZING OUTSIDE!!
